Half of all adults in Sweden have now received a Covid-19 vaccine
Sweden, on Monday, it was reported in the case of the introduction of the first dose of the vaccine for Covid-19, to 51 per cent of the adult population, while the vaccination rate has been behind a variety of European neighbors.
Since the start of the vaccination program on February 26, 2020, with 4.1 million adults in Sweden have been vaccinated against Covid-19, of which about 2.2 million doses, and the Public Health Agency said. This is equivalent to 51 per cent and 27 per cent of the adult population, respectively.
At the moment, Sweden is offering the vaccine only to people who are 18 years of age and older, in contrast to some other countries, such as Germany, for example. All of the vaccines that are currently being used in Sweden to two doses to be fully effective.
